MOUNTAIN VIEW ADVENTURE SITE
Mountain View Adventure Site
Exclusively for couples only
Our mountain view adventure site gets its name from the fun, off-road Jeep ride required to access it. Like the family friendly mountain view sites, it’s on the back side of our 30-acre farm, with horse pasture and my mother’s home between the view and main grounds. However, it’s strictly limited to couples only. Ride up with me in my Jeep or follow me in your own 4×4 off-road vehicle for a wedding experience unlike any other in the Smokies. We’ll either drive up through the fields from the main grounds or up the dirt trail next to the family-friendly ceremony site’s parking area.
The views are even more spectacular at the top of our pasture with not just one mountain ridge, but two. There’s a towering oak tree with a cute swing, and yellow buttercups in early April. The meadow grass gets taller as the season progresses, but we mow the entire field in July or August. From there, the field grass remains lower through fall and winter.
Depending on the package you book, this exciting mountain view can be used as a photography site as well for couples only. For example, if you get married at the willow tree on the main grounds or use the family-friendly mountain site, you can opt to use the adventure site for photos afterward.
Timing is everything for this stunning location for the “sweet light” in the evening. Sure, photos can be taken here any time of day, but the lighting and your temperature comfort level will differ astoundingly. For a sunset wedding, it is essential to do a first look and ALL other photographs before your ceremony. Otherwise, once the sun sets it’s dark. This unforgettable experience is well worth the sacrifices to achieve it. The best sunset photos are created in October here because of parallax, making the sun lower in the sky.
