GRANITE STONE WEDDING ARCH
Granite Stone Wedding Arch
An outdoor ceremony site for up to 20 guests
Our elegant granite stone archway is located on the main grounds within a minute’s walk from the barn’s exit. Mostly obscured by a crepe myrtle tree, it is a garden feature that delightfully surprises our guests as they explore the five-acre space surrounding the barn.
In late April, the purple garden phlox begins the seasonal blooms. By late June zinnia, cosmos, cone flowers and cleome attract butterflies and songbirds to this fairy-tale setting. This is our least shaded photography and ceremony site, so choose it as late in the day as possible in the summer months. By mid-September the shade is more abundant by 2pm. The wildflower blooms last until the first frost, which varies from early to late October. Our creek flows year round just behind the stone archway.
This lovely arch always has greenery and white flowers, making it a wedding ready ceremony site with little to fuss over. If you book a luxury elopement or wedding with reception and bring your own loose silk flowers to add to the garland, we’ll do it for you. The stone arch’s path leads to our hobbit bridge made from locust tree limbs. Just across the bridge you’ll find a photography prop resembling a hobbit house! Many trees have fallen next to it, lending itself to a fantasy themed wedding.
This ceremony site has a maximum guest count of 20 with its permanent log benches. The arch was originally built as an accent to the wildflower garden for photographers. It didn’t take long until couples begged for an opportunity to get married there. This site is best for smaller wedding parties because of the unique landscaping that creates a cozy garden vibe. The place where bridesmaids typically stand has enough room for only one or two people, but the right-hand side has room for many more.
