More About This Package
Looking for a beautiful, private wedding without breaking the bank? Our Simply the Ceremony package is our most economical option, providing the essentials for a short and sweet elopement. This package includes your wedding officiant and 30 minutes for the ceremony and photos, priced either with or without a professional photographer. It’s best for just the two of you, but you are welcome to bring up to four more guests to share the moment.
The ceremony typically lasts about five minutes, leaving the rest of the time to capture a few photos afterward. If you’re happy with a simple picture on your phone, our officiant will be happy to snap a photo for you, leaving the rest of your time to explore our lovely grounds and take selfies. Alternatively, you can add professional images by choosing one of our two in-house photographers, Regina or Sierra. Other photographers on our list have a one-hour minimum, which excludes them from this package.
Imagine walking hand-in-hand along the creek, basking in that “just married” glow before heading off to a celebratory dinner. This package provides the privacy and beautiful atmosphere you want, without any of the extra fuss.
Commonly Asked Questions About This Package
Can this package be used for other events?
Yes, the Simply the Ceremony package at Honeysuckle Hills can be used for a variety of other events listed below. If your event does not require a ceremony officiant, there’s a $175 discount.
• Surprise Engagement (Add the horses and Sugar will run to your fiance with the ring)

• Vow Renewal (Officiant required unless you simply read vows to each other)
• Promise ring exchange (Not yet engaged, but becoming an official couple)
Which Ceremony Site Can I Choose?
You may choose any of our ceremony sites as long as it accommodates your guest count. Honestly, since it’s likely just the two of you, I don’t mind if you choose to stand in the creek! The choice is yours.
If you choose our mountain adventure site, it’s strictly limited to couples only since we drive you there in our Jeep. But no worries, we have a family friendly mountain view with an easily accessible parking area if you have your heart set on a view and a few people are tagging along. Our mountain view is only a quick, one minute drive from the main grounds.
What if it rains?
If it rains on the day of your wedding, you’ll be able to use our chapel upstairs, the balcony, or our Creekside Pavilion for your ceremony and photos. Clear umbrellas are provided for photos as long as dangerous lightning is not present.
Who counts as a guest?
Anyone of walking age except the two of you counts as a guest. Yes, children especially count!
If you have more than four wedding guests, ask Regina for help choosing or building a custom package to fit your needs better. This selection is for the bare essentials.
Who will officiate my wedding?
You may choose from our list of preferred officiants, based on their availability. “Legendary” Phil King is a favorite for Christian services & country lovers. Abi, who is also a wedding coordinator here, officiates Christian & civil services with high energy & smiles. Regina officiates our LGBTQ ceremonies with love. Mr. Dennis is the favorite officiant for first responders because of his service to the local community. We also offer a retired Methodist pastor and a “mountain man” persona for your wedding.
Can I bring my own officiant?
Yes, you may use your own ceremony officiant at Honeysuckle Hills and we will provide a $175 discount on your all-inclusive wedding package.
How Do I Get my Marriage License?
We have an entire “how to” section in our Honeysuckle Hills Venue Resource Guide, along with a helpful blog article.
Will you play ceremony music with the Simply the Ceremony package?
Yes, we have a bluetooth speaker and will assist you with up to two ceremony songs (one to walk down the aisle and one for the exit.) Most couples who book this package skip the music in order to have more photo or exploration time afterward, however.
Will I see my sweetheart before the ceremony?
Yes, you will see your fiancé before the ceremony since you are required to arrive dressed and ready to walk down the aisle with the Simply the Ceremony package.
How do I choose my Photographer?
If you choose our Simply the Ceremony package with a professional photographer, you’ll choose between staff photographers Regina or Sierra, based on availability. Here’s our gallery of weddings for the past few years: Honeysuckle Hills Wedding Gallery If you’d like to know which one of us photographed a specific gallery, simply ask.
If you choose this package without a photographer, you may use a family member or friend who’s tagging along or book any other professional photographer you please. Most professional photographers have a one hour minimum, so consider adding more venue time if you prefer to use someone else. (We have more locations for photos than any other venue.)
If you add the session with our horses running and approaching close enough to touch, your photographer must provide a copy of their liability insurance listing Honeysuckle Hills, LLC, as additionally insured.
What areas can I use for photos with the Simply the Ceremony package?
We recommend using areas closely surrounding your ceremony site for photos with the Simply the Ceremony package. For example, if you get married at the willow tree the closest areas would be the creek, willow tree bridge, and stone arch. If you get married at the mountain view, all images should be taken there.
There is no extra charge to take photos by the old truck with horses in the background ONLY. You may add photos with the horses running & approaching close enough to touch, but either option must be completed within the included 30 minutes for ceremony & photos. The $299 fee is for the staff member responsible for telling the horses what to do. Expect at least 15 minutes for your time inside the horse field.
Long story short, you may use any areas at Honeysuckle Hills for photos as you wish, as long as it can be done within the time you reserve.
Can I add more photography time?
Yes, more photography time can be added to any package, but it must also accompany an equal amount of extra venue time.
If you are using your own photographer, simply add $900 per hour for more venue time.
If you are using one of our preferred photographers in your package, add $900 per hour for. move venue time in addition to $500 per hour for the photographer.
You may add venue and photography time in half hour increments as well.
Can I bring extra decor to the Simply the Ceremony Package?
Because of the brief time for your ceremony and photos, we recommend limiting extra items to a bouquet, boutonniere, or small photo prop, such as a sign that says, “Just Married.”
Can I visit on the day before the wedding with the Simply the Ceremony Package?
We care for you by meeting the day of the wedding for 15 minutes immediately prior to your ceremony with this package. This is plenty of time to choose your ceremony site and go over the wedding details.
Because this package usually fills last minute openings, it does not include a visit the day before the wedding.

Honeysuckle Tradition
I’m Regina, and I look forward to helping you plan your special day! Couples just like you have helped me carry on a legacy of love for the past 20 years. At one time my venue was a working farm where my Daddy raised cattle and tobacco. As much as I enjoyed growing up here, I sure do enjoy weddings more than farming!
My venue’s down-to-earth love for the simple things in life attracts outdoor lovers, travelers, adventurers, hunters, fishers, hikers, all skin colors, faiths, LGBTQ, and free spirited souls with an abundance of respect for diversity.
I can’t wait to celebrate your unique love story!
