How to Choose Your 2026 Wedding Date

Unbridled Love: The Best Horse Wedding Locations in Pigeon Forge
How to Choose your Honeysuckle Hills Wedding Photographer
If you’ve booked an all-inclusive wedding package at Honeysuckle Hills that includes a recommended photographer, you’ll be able to choose one of the talented professionals on our list below, based on their availability. Our venue is a favorite for photographers everywhere because of its variety of beautiful scenery in one convenient place. The horses, flower gardens, hardscapes, creek and mountain meadow view are just a few of the stunning backdrops for breathtaking images. Even our ceremony sites were thoughtfully placed with photographers in mind for the best lighting. If you have trouble choosing the perfect spot to say, “I Do,” rest assured your second (and third) choices can be used as photo locations.
Speaking of horses, if you wish to have photos with our horses running and approaching close enough to touch, all of the photographers on our list have met our insurance liability requirements.
We understand how challenging it can be choosing wedding vendors when you’re traveling from out of state. I hope you’ll find comfort in knowing that each of our recommended photographers knows our venue inside and out. They meet our high standards of hospitality, creative vision, and knowledge of lighting and posing. Availability will vary, as most of them are in high demand at other venues in the Smoky Mountains as well.
A description of each of our recommended photographers is below including their artistic style and size of weddings they accept. Their names conveniently link to their website where you can view even more eye candy. Let your coordinator (Regina) know your first and second choices since they are based on availability, and she’ll set everything up. Be sure to give your photographer as much time as possible at our venue, especially if you have a long list of “must have” photo locations.
Sierra Bonneville Photography
Specialty: Small Elopements and Micro-Weddings
Style: Classic mixed with Story-telling / True to Color
Sierra Bonneville Photography is a Pigeon Forge favorite for engagement sessions, family photos, and intimate weddings alike. You’ve likely seen many of Sierra’s images on our website already since she’s my daughter-in-law and part of the Honeysuckle Hills family. Get to know her on Instagram where you’ll see her style for photography sessions that the Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue doesn’t specifically advertise for. Sierra Bonneville Photography has exclusive access to our venue for families, high school seniors, and engagements.
Sierra is the mother of two of my sweet granddaughters, making her slightly less available than some of the other photographers listed below for weddings at Honeysuckle Hills. But if you’re one of the lucky ones, she’ll delight your heart with her mix of classic, free-flowing, true-to-color style. She uses a soft and gentle approach to posing with her sweet disposition. Natural light is her preference, but she uses off-camera lighting when the situation calls for it. I taught her everything she knows over the course of ten years at our wedding venue, and she has expanded on that knowlege throughout the years, developing her own unique brand and style.
Don Fields Photography
Specialty: Weddings of all sizes
Style: Classic mixed with Story-telling / True to Color
Certified Photographer with PPA
Don Fields Photography is a husband and wife team with over 20 years experience photographing weddings in the Smoky Mountain area. Learning from all the “Old Masters,” their lighting & posing are exquisite with a true-to-color, classic feel. Don is especially known for his use of foreground and layering for depth at our venue. I’ve seen them both work through challenging situations that would make other photographers sweat, but they carry on as if it’s second nature because of their decades of experience. Our wedding horse, Sugar, especially loves Don Fields because of his relaxed nature. She tends to pose and perform as well with him as with Regina (her owner.) Need video? They can add this service to your package as well!
Lauren Reeves Photography
Specialty: Elopements & Microweddings
Style: Light & Airy, primarily using natural light
Lauren Reeves is one of the most sought after elopement photographers in the Smoky Mountains, and for good reason. Her trendy images pop off the page with love and joy, and she knows our area (and Honeysuckle Hills) like the back of her hand. She is an excellent choice for your elopement or small guest count micro-wedding. This woman is an absolute master of natural light and epitomizes the phrase “adventure photographer.”
Nunn Photography
Specialty: Larger Weddings with Receptions
Style: Light & Airy, primarily using natural light
Nunn Photography is another husband wife team who are clearly the rising photographer stars in the Smoky Mountain area. Jessica is Don and Melissa Field’s daughter, continuing the legacy for excellence. Their style is light and airy, and they are especially known for keeping the wedding vibe joyful and upbeat. I call them the “Hallmark” photographers because of their cinematic style. Natural light is their primary choice, but they use off-camera lighting when the situation calls for it. The importance of booking photographers who can master both natural and off-camera lighting means the difference between WOW images versus flat, boring images when the weather and lighting becomes challenging.
Jessica and Garrett often photograph together for larger weddings with receptions, but you can book Jessica by herself for your elopement at Honeysuckle Hills.
Team 22 Studios
Specialty: Weddings of all Sizes
Style: Moody & Creative
Angie Carriere is a high-end photographer in the Smoky Mountain area for weddings of all sizes. Her career in photography began years ago in the darkroom within a family of talented artists and musicians. Did you know you can also book her daughter to play violn at your wedding? Here’s another fun fact about Angie Carriere… she performed in the Hatfield and McCoy dinner show several years back as “Maw,” swinging a fiddle instead of her camera. Because photography was her truest calling, she eventually had to lay down the fiddle as a result of the high demand for her artistry with the camera.
Angie’s images have been published in Titanic Brochures and books, Country Music Highway, Cave Run Lake Area Guide, and others. Angie’s brand is easily spotted with her additions of clouds, sunsets and sunbursts to your images. Sometimes they’re captured organically, and other times they’re an artistic addition. As a luxury wedding photographer, she offers cinematic video as well. Watch the video her team created of Honeysuckle Hills in July 2025 during our summer bloom time.
Angie uses both natural and off-camera lighting with expertise.
Regina, the Original Honeysuckle Hills Photographer
Specialty: Couples only Elopements
Style: Classic Portraiture, True-to-Color
Hello from Regina! I’m also your wedding planner and day-of-wedding coordinator, so the only weddings I photograph are for couples with no more than six guests. If your wedding package is less than one hour, I primarily use natural light and only one camera in order to save time and provide a higher number of images. For packages with at least one hour I will use a variety of lenses and off-camera lighting techniques, using the skills I learned from all the “Old Masters” more than twenty years ago. The more time I have with you, the more magic we can create together!
View my galleries here: Honeysuckle Hills Galleries
Sierra Bonneville’s photography is intermingled with my own, and you may not be able to tell which of us photographed which wedding. (I trained her myself so our style is similar.) If you’d like to know who photographed a particular wedding in the gallery, simply ask.
Honeysuckle Tradition
I’m Regina, and I look forward to helping you plan your special day! Couples just like you have helped me carry on a legacy of love for the past 19 years. At one time my venue was a working farm where my Daddy raised cattle and tobacco. As much as I enjoyed growing up here, I sure do enjoy weddings more than farming!
My venue’s down-to-earth attitude attracts Christians, outdoor lovers, hikers, fishers, hunters, conservationists, travelers, adventurers, all skin colors, LGBTQ lovers, and fAree-spirited souls with an abundance of respect for diversity.
My family believes that our own personal faith in Jesus Christ fosters abounding love to welcome all with open arms and a servant’s heart.
