Family Friendly Mountain View

An outdoor wedding site best for 30 guests / Absolute Max of 50

Our family friendly mountain view ceremony sites are located a short, one minute’s drive from the main grounds. They’re on the back side of our 30 acres, with horse pasture and my mother’s home in between the mountain views and main grounds. This makes our venue unique with a combination of views and delightful landscaped areas in these separate locations to enjoy. You and your guests will have fun “going on an adventure” to your mountain ceremony site after everyone gets dressed on the main grounds. (Dressing room time varies by package.) You’ll follow your included coordinator in a lead car when it’s time for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, photos can be taken at the view followed by the main grounds using places like our waterwheel, the bridges, flower gardens, a creek, and even horses. Be sure you book a package that includes enough time for all the stunning photo spots you wish to include. If you book our “Simply the Ceremolny” package with a ceremony at the view, all photos must be taken there since it’s our smallest package.

If it rains, we can easily change your ceremony site to the chapel or covered pavilion on the main grounds.

There are two family friendly mountain ceremony sites to choose from.  The first is located to the right as you drive in, only a short walk from the parking lot below that has room for ten vehicles.  There’s room to park one car or drop off guests right next to this ceremony site. It’s shaded four to five hours before sunset in spring and summer but has no shade in the fall and winter due to the sun’s parallax. Wildflowers usually bloom at the end of the ceremony site and alongside the banks in April through early June. The ultimate timing, abundance, and length of blooming depends on temperature and rainfall. Be prepared to walk through meadow grass or stand on the bank for the best photos in these colorful flowers.

The second ceremony site I affectionately call, “Lover’s Cove.”  A grass path leads down directly from the parking area to a mowed lawn nestled between two hillsides with a more expansive view of the mountain ridge between them.  Parking for a few more cars are available at the entry above in addition to the parking for ten cars close to this site. Because it resembles Cades Cove in the National Park, this is my favorite place on the farm.  The best ceremony time here in the spring and summer is approximately two hours before sunset when there is abundant shade.  The sun is lower in the sky in mid-September through February, so there is no shade until 30 minutes prior to sunset. In the winter and early spring, the sun’s warm embrace can be a blessing! In the months of June through August the sun is a merciless heat amplifier.

Honeysuckle Tradition

I’m Regina, and I look forward to helping you plan your special day!  Couples just like you have helped me carry on a legacy of love for the past 20 years.  At one time my venue was a working farm where my Daddy raised cattle and tobacco.  As much as I enjoyed growing up here, I sure do enjoy weddings more than farming!

My venue’s down-to-earth love for the simple things in life attracts outdoor lovers, travelers, adventurers, hunters, fishers, hikers, all skin colors, faiths, LGBTQ, and free spirited souls with an abundance of respect for diversity.

I can’t wait to celebrate your unique love story!
