Wedding Reception Menu at Honeysuckle Hills
December 31, 2023Choosing your February 2025 Wedding Date
February 21, 2024January is a slower month for weddings in the mountains of East Tennessee. The average temperature is 50 degrees with occasional swings to the 70’s or lower 20’s. If it’s going to snow, this is one of the two months I would bet strongly on. The most popular dates in January are New Year’s Day and the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Any days surrounding a National holiday, especially if it falls on a three day weekend, will be busy in Pigeon Forge. The ease of getting off work combined with the emotion of love will lure couples to our area to get married.
What’s in bloom: Nothing is in bloom in January. The only greenery will be on evergreen trees such as hemlocks, rhododendron, and mountain laurel. This creates a rustic, bronze wedding vibe with a nostalgic feel. Our mountain waterfall location is surrounded by rhododendrons, making it a popular wedding location for couples only elopements in January when the weather is not too cold, and the road is not covered in snow. Most couples choose our cozy, warm wedding chapel upstairs, and then go outside for wedding photographs after the ceremony.
The most popular wedding dates in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in January 2025 will be the 1st and the 25th. January 25th is a palindrome date, reading the same both forward and backward.
