Creekside Ridge Ceremony Location

The wooden arbor called Creekside Ridge is located at the main venue on the lower grounds. Imagine walking across an arched bridge while sounds of the creek and pond waterfall soothe you. Your guests will never forget your fairy-tale style walk down the aisle! It only takes two minutes to walk from the barn exit or Creekside Pavilion to reach the ceremony site.

Permanent log benches seat up to 50 wedding guests here, making it the perfect place for a family elopement in the Smokies. There’s plenty of room for your family and friends to spread out comfortably. You may even want a large group photo of everyone here!
A Ling’s Moments garland with white and green flowers is in the top center of the wooden arbor. If you book one of our classic elopement packages, we will add silk flowers to this that closely match your wedding colors. We also have small wooden boxes with silk flowers we can place on top of the stumps that line the aisle.

This ceremony site is most popular in early April through mid-May. Dogwoods bloom first somewhere between April 1st and the 20th. The large, purple rhododendron bushes bloom next for a few weeks in early May. Lilies bloom in June, followed by pink wind flowers in August and September. There are always pots of annual flowers in the center of the arbor from spring to fall. White goosenecks bloom near the arched bridge in June, followed by zinnias and asters.

The ridge immediately behind the arbor turns golden in color in the fall. While challenging to predict, the best chances for peak fall color is the third and fourth week of October, and sometimes even the first week or two in November. This ceremony site is not the best choice for winter weddings.

If it Rains

The rain plan for this site with our classic elopements is the opportunity to change the ceremony time to suit better weather conditions or change to the Creekside Pavilion or chapel for the ceremony.
The rain plan for the The Mini Wedding or Simply I Do is the use of umbrellas or changing the ceremony site to the Creekside Pavilion or chapel. Keep in mind the maximum guest count for the mini wedding is ten, and six for Simply I Do.
