Choosing Your July 2025 Wedding Date
February 21, 2024Choosing Your September 2025 Wedding Date
February 21, 2024July and August are the hottest and most humid months to get married in the Smoky Mountains. These months tend to reserve only six to nine months in advance with last minute elopements and micro weddings the most common. I always chuckle when our couples from Florida pick this month thinking that the Smoky Mountains will be cooler than where they’re from. It is not. I promise you… it feels just like a southern beach here because the Smoky Mountains suck all the moisture out of the trees and vegetation as the sun blares down with a vengeance. (That’s how the Smoky Mountains got its name, because the humidity creates the “smoke.”) You will sweat, but I’ll be ready to hand you an ice-cold bottle of water if you’re here in that sexy summer sundress to walk down the aisle.
What’s in Bloom: The Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue has its largest and most colorful flower bloom in July and August. Zinnia, Cosmos, sunflowers, hibiscus, rose of sharon, cleome and rudbeckia delight the landscape, especially at our stone arch ceremony site. Couples who love nature and wildflowers are willing to bear the heat just to experience the beautiful wedding backdrops created by the colorful blooms.
The most popular wedding dates in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in the months of July and August are July 4th (Independence Day,) and August 30th (Labor Day weekend.)
If you’re a Jeep lover, the week of August 18th through the 23rd is the best time of year to get married in the Smoky Mountains. The Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue has a hill that leads to a mountain meadow view where you can get married!
