Choosing Your October 2025 Wedding Date
February 21, 2024Choosing Your December 2025 Wedding Date
February 21, 2024November is the last month of wedding season in the Smoky Mountains, typically ending after Thanksgiving. The holiday weekend is the “last hurrah” as I call it. Temperatures range in the low 50’s with swings as high as 70 and as low as the 30’s. Snow is possible, but rare and short lived.
What’s in Bloom: The only blooms in November at the Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue are the pots of mums we shelter from each night’s frost until about the middle of the month. Witch hazel, which looks like a squiggly, golden yellow twig, blooms on the trees at the base of our mountain ridges. To take advantage of the last of the beautiful fall leaf colors, choose the first week of November for your wedding date. I’ve seen fall color last all the way until Thanksgiving, but I’ve also seen hard frosts drop every single leaf on the trees by November 10th. The sun drops lower in the sky in November, and it is much easier to capture in your wedding photographs, creating a glowing romantic emotion. It’s also easier to capture stunning silhouettes at our mountain view location. Even though the willow tree has no leaves left in November, the fairy lights and lanterns still draw ceremonies there, especially with our hexagon arbor and pampas grasses.
The most popular wedding dates in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for the month of November in 2025 are November 1st and the 11th. Veterans Day is the most popular wedding day in the Smoky Mountains for the month of November, regardless of the day of the week it falls on. Expect November 1st through the 15th to book approximately a year in advance with the remaining days of November slowly following.
