Marriage License Q & A For Your Gatlinburg Wedding… Let’s Get You Married!
December 29, 2022Six Fun, Adventurous Ways to Get Married in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
December 17, 2023The Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue is abundant with natural beauty, making it a favorite wedding destination for couples traveling to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN. We’re also one of the best places to elope or plan a micro-wedding in the Smokies! Our packages range in cost from $399 to $5,000, depending on the services, guest count, and time included. Discounts lower the price when applicable. Our photography has been the number one reason couples come here since 2006. Some of our packages include a little, while others unleash creativity with a fever.
I’ve broken down each of our elopement packages to help you choose the perfect one to match your budget and expectations. Have questions? I’m only a message away…
Simply I Do
Cost: Least expensive package, $399-$699 ($75 discount for military / first responder, $50 discount if Regina or Abi is available to officiate the wedding, and $100 last minute discount if booked within a month or less of the wedding date and $25 off for Starkeytown Vacation Renters)
Benefits: Excellent choice for couples who want simplicity and a budget friendly wedding for just the two of them. This package provides beautiful, private surroundings for a wedding ceremony with a caring officiant. It’s no frills, no fuss, quick, easy & the cheapest way to get married.
Guest Count: Best for couples only, Four guests absolute maximum (Wedding couple does not count as a guest, any person of walking age does count as a guest)
Time Invested: Quick and easy, average time is 10 to 15 minutes without professional photos or 25 to 30 minutes from ceremony to finish with professional photos
Ceremony Options: All ceremony locations, based on availability, officiant included
Ceremony Music: None
Ceremony Director: None. Your officiant & photographer will guide you, but since this package was not created for couples with guests or a wedding party, there is no ceremony director. There’s no need for walking down the aisle or ceremony music with this fun, spontaneous package.
Ceremony Time Flexibility: Time cannot be changed in the event of bad weather
Rain plan: If the lower grounds Creekside Pavilion or Chapel is available, you can change ceremony location. If you book our mountain view site, you can change to a covered or indoor site at the main venue area. However, if you were told when booking the main venue would not be available you’ll be restricted to using umbrellas.
Photography: Limited and practical. Most who book this package are happy with a few cell phone snapshots taken by the officiant after the ceremony. Professional photography is available as an add-on for the ceremony and the two of you afterward in the same area surrounding your ceremony site. (There’s not enough time for photos in more locations.) Expect a variety of poses and quality lighting techniques, but in a much, much shorter time period. All high resolution digital images are included with a copyright release.
Dressing Areas: Not available with this package. Arrive dressed & ready to go. Restrooms available if needed.
Details & Décor: Our venue is set up and ready to go at all times with permanent, pleasing wedding décor. This package does not include ceremony music, time to set up extra décor, or additions of your wedding colors added to the arbors. The arbors are decorated with greenery and white flowers.
Venue Tour: No venue tour is available prior to your wedding date with this package. You are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to your wedding, but 10 minutes ahead of time is plenty.
When to Book It: This package can be booked any time in the future, but is most popular for last minute weddings here in Pigeon Forge. It is challenging to book this package for a Saturday since our larger packages have priority, especially during peak wedding season. The best availability is on weekdays.
The Mini Wedding
Cost: Mid-range wedding package, $1499- $2999 with our photography / $899 to $1999 using your own (Military / First Responder discount of $100, $50 discount if Abi or Regina is available to officiate and $100 for Starkeytown vacation renters)
Benefits: Excellent choice for couples with a small guest count of 20 or less who want beautiful photographs in more than one location, but at a lower cost than our luxury elopements. It’s an abbreviated version of our full service packages to save money.
Guest Count: Thirty guests recommended maximum (Wedding couple does not count as a guest, any person of walking age does count as a guest)
Time Invested: Three options are given based on your guest count and number of guests. Naturally, the more guests you have and / or the more requests you have for photographs require more time. Don’t try to squeeze into a smaller package if you have more than its recommended guest count. Our venue has much to enjoy, and you don’t want to feel rushed or as if you missed out pictures you really wanted.
Ceremony Options: All ceremony locations, based on availability & seating capacity, officiant included
Ceremony Director: Yes, in addition to your wedding officiant
Ceremony Music: Yes
Ceremony Time Flexibility: Time cannot be changed in the event of bad weather
Rain plan: Change to our indoor chapel or Creekside Pavilion on the lower grounds if it’s raining. Covered and indoor areas will be used for photography as well.
Photography: When using our photographer, photos begin with the ceremony itself (no details or getting ready images) for the first two packages. The mini wedding deluxe includes 30 minutes of pre-ceremony photography. When using your own photographer, they can begin any time when you arrive. A typical ceremony lasts 10 minutes for couples only, 15 to 20 minutes for a guest count of up to 15, and up to 30 minutes for a guest count of 30 or more. Family group photos are taken after the ceremony. If family group poses take longer, there is less time for photos of the two of you alone. Equally, if family group poses are shorter, there is more time for the two of you afterward. Each package has a designated time limit from ceremonhy to exit, so if you have a higher guest count and / or requests for photos at both the mountain view and the lower grounds, be sure to choose a package with as much time as your budget allows. Our photographer will pose as creatively, taking advantage of every second. All images in high resolution with copyright release are included.
Dressing Areas: Each package has a designated time limit for the dressing area ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. Arrive with hair and makeup complete and use the dressing areas to change clothes. Restrooms available if needed at any time.
Details & Décor: Our venue is set up and ready to go at all times with permanent, pleasing wedding décor. This package does not include time to set up extra décor, so you won’t be able to bring things like a guest book, favors, unity ceremony items, etc. The arbors are decorated with greenery and white flowers. By booking the Mini Wedding Deluxe, you can use our hexagon arbor on the lower grounds or mountain view, or even the cross at the mountain view.
Venue Tour: We’ll schedule a time to visit with us on a day before the wedding, but you won’t be able to drop off your dress or other wedding related items. We’ll go over all the wedding details and make sure everything goes smoothly.
When to Book It: This package can be booked any time. Peak Saturdays are challenging to get. Most Saturdays in October have a minimum reservation requirement of our luxury elopement or a wedding with reception.
All-Inclusive, Luxury Elopements
Cost: $1999 and up, depending on guest count, photography and ammenity options (Military / First Responder discount of $100, $50 discount if Abi or Regina is available to officiate, $100 discount for weekday weddings, and $100 discount for Starkeytown Vacation Renters.)
Benefits: This is the best wedding experience in the Smoky Mountains, and our most popular. It allows more flexibility for the unexpected, more attention, and the most time for creative photography in multiple locations. Relax and enjoy a private, peaceful wedding experience with the least stress.
Guest Count: Fifty guests absolute maximum (children count as guests)
Each package is based on your guest count, welcoming you to add amenity packages to complete your wedding experience. Options include adding our photographer, hair and makeup, bouquets, snack trays for the dressing room, and more.
Time Invested: Averages an hour and a half to three hours from ceremony to finish, in addition to the time permitted to use the dressing areas for hair and makeup
Ceremony Options: All ceremony locations, based on availability & seating capacity, officiant included
Ceremony Director: Wedding Planner, ceremony director, assistant for larger guest counts
Ceremony Music: Yes
Ceremony Time Flexibility: Ceremony or photography time can be changed to suit the best weather conditions. Your wedding is the only one scheduled for that day. We’re also lenient with times in case things are running behind. Our only restriction is when it gets dark.
Rain plan: Change the start time of your ceremony or photography for better weather conditions, or choose our Creekside Pavilion or wedding chapel upstairs. We have the flexibility to wait out the rain if needed. The only limitation is when darkness falls, preventing light needed for photos.
Photography: When using our photographer, time begins one hour prior to ceremony for details & getting ready images. Includes photos of the ceremony, family groups, and the two of you in up to three locations on our lower grounds. Naturally, there is an average time expectation but we are only limited by when darkness falls in the event of unexpected interruptions (people running late, wardrobe malfunctions, uncooperative children, etc.) If you use your own photographer, they are welcome to arrive when you do and given the same courtesy to complete details, ceremony, family groups and photos of the two of you on our lower grounds. There is time for more attention to detail plus more variety with posing and off camera lighting with this package. Use any photography site you wish! Includes all high resolution images with copyright release if you choose our photographer. Also includes a highlight slideshow and one art collage (two of your images blended together, unleashed from your photographer’s imagination.)
Dressing Areas: Use of dressing areas three to four hours prior to the ceremony. Do your own hair and makeup on site or I’ll help you schedule a stylist to meet you here. This begins the personal experience at our venue and allows us more time to get to know each other. There is also less stress, because if you’re running a little behind it’s OK. We only have to worry about when it gets dark.
Details & Décor: Our venue is set up and ready to go at all times with permanent, pleasing wedding décor. Bring unity items, guest books, favors, pictures or silk flower for one of our wedding arbors and we’ll set everything up for you. This package welcomes any light-weight items that we can place by hand to personalize your wedding experience here.
Venue Tour: We’ll schedule a time to visit with us on a day before the wedding. Feel free to drop off your dress, clothing, and all wedding related items at this visit.
When to Book It: Because it’s our most popular, book as far in advance as possible. Book October at least a year and a half in advance, even for weekdays. July and August typically books within three to six months. Off-season months of December, January, and most dates in February are often available last minute and with discounts.
Venue Only (Use Your Own Photographer)
Any of our elopement packages can be booked as venue only. Simply choose the pricing option “without photography.” All the other details remain the same. Many venues in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area require a full day’s rental, and that can get incredibly expensive! If you’re having a larger wedding with reception it’s necessary, but if you prefer a micro-wedding like I do, our elopement packages are the best way to get married in the Smoky Mountain area.
