Pigeon Forge Pet-Friendly Wedding Checklist
January 11, 2019The first weekend in November is an often overlooked wedding date because most people think the leaf color peaks in October in the Smoky Mountains. The leaves are just beginning to look good during the last week of October, however. It’s that first week and weekend of November when the gold starts shining brighter than a wedding ring.
Layla and Justin planned their wedding date just right! The maple trees in our horse field were especially glorious on November 3rd. The weather was chilly enough for light sweaters that day, so Layla’s wedding favor s’mores were a huge hit. If you invite guests to a destination wedding in the fall, rest assured they will come, so you’ll need to feed them, too.
The Smoky Mountain National Park and Foothills Parkway have miles of roads with fall splendor hanging over them. Some of your guests may stick to driving to enjoy God’s paintbrush or they may opt for hiking some of the trails. Another popular choice for our fall visitors is getting a head start on their Christmas shopping at the many outlet malls our tourist town offers.
My favorite part of Layla’s wedding was her husband, Justin. He kept repeating the phrase, ‘happy wife, happy life.” It wasn’t just a little joke, either! He meant it from the bottom of his heart, and everything planned for their wedding was centered around making Layla smile.
